Morgan Hill students sent home for wearing American flag T-shirts

Once again, showing pride and patriotism to America and the American Flag is consider to be "incendiary" if displayed.

We can now add Morgan Hill, California Live Oak High School to the long list of people, places, and things that find the American Flag to be 'disrespectful', in need of apology, and removal.

On May 5th, [ or Cinco de Mayo, Not an American HOLIDAY btw) 5 students were approached by the Assistant Principal, Miguel Rodriguez, who asked two of them to remove their American flag bandannas. The boys complied, but the 5 were asked to accompany Rodriguez to the Principal's office where they were told they had to turn their American Flag T-shirts inside out or to leave the school.

Keep in mind here that other students wearing red white and Green Mexico colored Flags were not brought to the office and told to remove their T-shirts or to wash their painted on flags and colors off of their faces.
Nor were they asked to leave the school.

Several of the Mexican kids interviewed said that wearing American Flags on "their holiday" was "disrespectful"..."it's our day, the only day we can show our spirit.".."They need to apologize".

One of the boys, Daniel Galli, said, "They said we could wear it (American Flag) on any other day, but today is sensitive to Mexican-Americans because it's supposed to be their holiday so we were not allowed to wear it."

The 5 boys refused at that time to turn their shirts inside out.
Galli said, “I’m not going to apologize. I did nothing wrong… I went along with my normal day. I might have worn an American flag, but I’m an American and I’m proud to be an American.”

Some continue to expect apologies for being Americans and for it's symbols that might upset sensitive spirits.
How insensitive can you be to intrude on "the ONLY DAY" that some American-people feel they can celebrate being on American soil... right along side an American Flag T-shirt?

Such an insult!
